DEVELOPMENT AND FACILITY MANAGEMENT 

The Washoe Housing Authority (WHA) employs, a team of maintenance and skilled laborers that work diligently to complete the construction and maintenance of WHA managed units located in the four communities in Nevada and California.

The development of the four communities of the Washoe Tribe consists of new-construction, rehabilitation of current low-rent homes, HIP projects, infrastructure, construction contract administration, inspections of completed projects, routine maintenance, and weatherization. The maintenance department operates under the guidance of the Development and Facility Manager. The maintenance crew is responsible for general repairs work orders and upkeep of all managed low rent units. The Washoe Housing Authority also has a large pool of qualified contractors who provide services to meet the needs of the growing communities.
